DDR Australia operates in the Defence, Government, Mining and Energy sectors. From design-and-construct and new builds, to refurbishment and infrastructure upgrades, the business has experienced substantial growth in the value, complexity, and number of projects since inception. Joining the well-established WA team, you will deliver a range of projects within the Defence sector valued between $3-10 million.

This role would be well suited to an experienced Senior Project Engineer/Senior Project Coordinator looking to take the next step in their career. Based out of the Balcatta office with a company vehicle or car allowance provided for site visits, coordinate and liaise with subcontractors and clients. 

THE ROLE

  • Manage projects from initial setup through to completion
  • Ensure compliance with HSECQ requirements
  • Ensure effective cost control and efficient running of the project
  • Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors
  • Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings
  • Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues
  • Liaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to program 
  • Involvement with tendering/estimation
  • Create and modify ITP’s and SWMS
  • Raise RFI’s and track responses

  • Experience leading & completing multiple construction, refurbishment and remediation projects
  • Experience with tier 2 clientele
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or similar
  • Proven ability to positively influence, develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to self-manage own workload whilst ensuring a project efficiency and a positive team environment
  • Proven problem-solving capability with an approachable leadership style
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
  • A natural leader who is willing to develop people and achieve delivery targets
  • Police Clearance
