Senior Project Manager

DDR Australia have been successful in growing its portfolio of work in the Southeast QLD area and wider QLD region.

The business is seeking to expand its operations, by growing its already strong pipeline of projects. You will also be able to provide strategic input into bid proposals to ensure best chance of success in these pursuits.

You will be responsible to lead the delivery of multiple construction and remediation projects across Southeast Queensland.

THE ROLE 

  • Managing all aspects of the project including head contract management, procurement, programming of work, resourcing and project handover 
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements, inclusive of preparation of project plans
  • Oversee effective cost control and adherence to project milestones 
  • Coordinating direct labour and subcontractors, to ensure the most efficient use of resources 
  • Encourage a collaborative, client-focused delivery culture with an aim to create long term relationships with all our clients 
  • Ensure the client is regularly informed about project performance and issues in a timely and professional manner 
  • Provide input to tender proposals, specifically delivery, procurement and schedule strategies and plans. 

ABOUT YOU 

Along with extensive project management and delivery skills, you will have: 

  • Demonstrated delivery of multiple construction and/or infrastructure projects <$50M with complexity 
  • Leadership qualities that promote a positive team culture
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management 
  • A high level of understanding and appreciation for safe systems of work 
  • Commercial acumen  
  • Programming and planning skills 
  • Experience in a similar role within a contractor environment  
  • Motivation to develop your career with a growing business, with career progression a key focus of management  
  • Prior experience working on building and infrastructure Defence projects would be preferred but not essential 
  • Communication skills, with motivation to understand client needs and identify tender/pipeline opportunities for the business.
