DDR Australia have experienced substantial growth in the value, complexity, and number of projects that the business will deliver. With planned growth, this role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to harness the current pipeline of work and build on an existing experienced team to grow both the business and their skills.

You will be responsible for the identification, pursuit and delivery of operations across Australia, inclusive of the Defence, Federal and State/Territory Government programme of work/s.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Deliver strategic direction and collaborate with various stakeholders 
• Liaise and work closely with the GM and other leaders within DDR to coordinate and convert business opportunities from Defence and other sectors
• Source, retain and manage local teams to deliver project success
• Prepare budgets and report/deliver to these
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive workplace that champions diversity and builds lasting relationships with Aboriginal communities, businesses, and clients
• Adhoc travel to project sites across Australia

• Large project experience along with portfolio management experience
• Demonstrated delivery of multiple construction and/or infrastructure projects >$50M
• Commercial acumen with understanding of best operational practices
• Commitment to business development and pre-contracts activity
• Ability to manage multiple business lines and deliver operational and growth strategies for all
• Ability to influence and drive teams to deliver contribution to business objectives
