DDR Australia operates in Defence, State Government, Mining and Energy sectors. The DDR Australia business has experienced substantial growth in the value, complexity, and number of projects that the business will deliver in the next 2-3 years, within Western Australia and Nationally.

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to work with an existing a highly motivated team.

Duties and responsibilities  

  • Overall management of construction Defence projects from initial setup through to completion
  • Ensure compliance with HSECQ requirements
  • Ensure effective cost control and efficient running of the project
  • Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors
  • Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings
  • Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues
  • Liaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to program 
  • Involvement with tendering/estimation
  • Raise RFI’s and track responses

  • Experienced in leading & completing multiple construction, refurbishment and remediation projects
  • Experience with tier 2 clientele
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or similar
  • Proven ability to positively influence, develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to self-manage own workload whilst ensuring a project efficiency and a positive team environment
  • Proven problem-solving capability with an approachable leadership style
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
  • A natural leader who is willing to develop people and achieve delivery targets
